Compare the Cadillac XT5 to the Acura MDX and Lincoln Nautilus at Ciocca Cadillac of Atlantic City

Luxury SUVs tend to be a cut above your more conventional offerings, typically standard with stronger engines and more amenities. When you think luxury, you might find yourself considering a few different lineups, but none speak to the luxury name better than the lineup from Cadillac. With options like the Cadillac XT5, you'll enjoy cozy comforts and innovative conveniences you can't get standard with other lineups.

When shopping for your next SUV, we know you'll consider other lineups outside of Cadillac. While the Cadillac XT5 has competition, like the Acura MDX and Lincoln Nautilus, we're confident that the Cadillac SUV offers more than its rivals. Check out the comparisons below and see why we choose Cadillac every time!

Cadillac XT5 vs. Acura MDX

Under the hood, the Cadillac XT5 gives you two engine options, while the Acura MDX will limit you to a standard 3.5-liter V6. The MDX's V6 gives you 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque - a respectable engine output. However, the Cadillac XT5's available 3.6-liter V6 engine delivers 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet, respectively. You'll get better performance from the Cadillac SUV, allowing you to take control of the road better than you could in the Acura MDX.

Driving a luxury vehicle means you get a plethora of features that enhance the quality of your drive. Inside the Cadillac XT5, you'll enjoy standard features like heated front seats, a cabin humidity sensor, a dual-screen diagonal Driver Information Center, and a Bose® premium eight-speaker sound system. With the Acura MDX, the first three features are available but aren't standard to the lineup. If you want the crisp clarity of the Bose sound system in the Acura, you'll have to look elsewhere - the lineup doesn't offer this feature.

Staying safe is important, and with more active safety features, you have a better chance of avoiding potential accidents on the road. The Cadillac XT5 comes standard with numerous features, including Following Distance Indicator and Teen Driver Technology. Unfortunately, the Acura doesn't come standard with either feature and doesn't offer Teen Drive Technology anywhere in its lineup.

Cadillac XT5 vs. Lincoln Nautilus

Both models come equipped with turbocharged 2.0-liter powertrains, offering quick acceleration and power at a moment's notice. However, while the Nautilus offers higher engine output, which will cost you down the road when you want to fill up on gas. The Cadillac XT5 enjoys an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 22/29 mpg city/highway. On the other hand, the Lincoln Nautilus only manages an EPA-estimated 21/26 mpg city/highway. Luxury doesn't have to mean gas guzzler, and the Cadillac XT5 proves that.

Standard features are a selling point again with the Cadillac XT5. You can debate the style and comfort offered by the Lincoln Nautilus, but it doesn't include nearly as many features as the Cadillac SUV. With the XT5, you'll enjoy standard features like heated front seats, Amazon Alexa Built-In capability, and an HD Rear Vision Camera. The Nautilus doesn't offer these features standard.

What about maneuverability? You might not consider this a huge selling point, but when it comes to tight parking spots, it could be the first thing on your mind. Luckily, the Cadillac XT5 makes it easier to find room in those crowded parking lots, with an exterior width that spans 74.9 inches. With the Lincoln Nautilus, you'll have to be pickier with the spots you choose as the exterior width reaches up to 86.1 inches.
